It may be crazy to believe, but I cannot name the exact spark that drew me to photography. Perhaps it began with my grandfather’s work, which I grew up hearing about and admiring. Perhaps it came from living in Italy, where I longed to capture every moment of beauty, or from the constant moves of my father’s Navy career, where photos became the only anchors I could carry with me. Whatever the source, photography quickly became the language through which I told my story across those shifting landscapes.

Soon, I discovered that a single photograph could stretch beyond the instant it captured a story could begin before the shutter clicked and continue long after. Around the same time, the newly developing web gave me another outlet: blogs, journals, and diaries where I paired images with words to share my life as a young traveler. That practice grew into a passion for storytelling itself. Today, I want to bring that same opportunity to others: to help those who lack the tools to use photos, film, and digital platforms to share their own stories with the world.
